International conference
on new city for West

An International conference organised by the "New City for the West" company will take place in Knock on May 14/15th.

Speakers will include Minister of State Eamonn O Cuiv, who will outline his vision for the future of the west and rural Ireland in the years 2020 and beyond.

Other speakers include William A. Thomas who is the proposer of the new city for Ireland in the 21st century.

He says: "We can change and make the future great.

"There is great hope for the future, especially in the West of Ireland, and I can see full employment here in the next 65 years once we get this project off the ground."

"This will be the country's most beautiful city, be very well designed, taking into account the beauty of the West, and everything in it will work," he added.

A whole range of speakers has been lined up for the conference, including public representatives, planners, etc.

There will be a celebrity guest speaker on the day whose identity will not be announced in advance.

The conference will be broadcast to part of the USA via Public Pay TV.
